Relationship among Sleep Problems, Burnout and Performance Anxiety in University Students: A Case Study of Lahore Universities

Abstract

The primary aim of this research was to investigate the connection between sleep issues and burnout in college students. The current study employed a cross-sectional correlational design with participants aged 18 to 25 picked from five different universities in Lahore for this purpose. Pre-Sleep Arousal Scale (Shahzadi & Tazvin,2014), Burnout scale for students. (Ijaz & Khan, 2012) and Anxiety proneness scale (Saleem & Mahmood, 2010) was administered on 600 university students (Male =248, Female = 352). Results indicated that significant relationship and sleep is found to be strong predictor of burnout and performance anxiety among university students. Results of multivariate analysis of variance showed that burnout is more liking to effect by sleep problems as compare to anxiety. Future results discuss according to culture context.
