Abstract

The issue of climate change from a governance perspective in Pakistan remains understudied within the global literature. This study offers a significant contribution to the field of environmental politics by delving into the underexplored domain of environmental governance in the context of Pakistan's climate change challenges. The existing literature inadequately addresses this crucial aspect of policy formulation and implementation. Employing qualitative thematic analysis, this study adopts an approach of analytical eclecticism to elucidate the multifaceted trajectories and underpinnings of climate change governance in Pakistan. By synthesizing diverse theoretical perspectives and empirical evidence, it uncovers the complex interplay of socio-political, economic, and environmental factors shaping the country's response to climate change. Through meticulous examination, this research contributes to a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in Pakistan's climate governance landscape. It underscores the imperative for targeted interventions informed by comprehensive insights to effectively address the pressing issue of climate change in the region.
