The advent of technology leads to digital transformation, presenting new modes of communication and bringing new regulatory challenges that pose threats to fundamental human rights. It is not limited to human rights, but also expands to freedom of expression, quality, and the core rights of humans, considering surveillance, algorithmic bias, cyber governance, and newly adapted artificial intelligence. All these aspects will be discussed in this article. The motive of this paper is to critically analyze internationally acknowledged legal frameworks including UDHR and ICCPR and see how these can enhance human rights in the existing and upcoming digital world and what should be some of the changes that are essential to enhance human rights.
