Abstract

The study explores how education empowers women in District Dir Lower, Pakistan, aiming to identify factors enhancing or hindering empowerment. Employing a qualitative, phenomenological approach, it examines women's lived experiences and perceptions, with diverse participants including educated women and key informants. Through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, the study captures narratives on education's impact across various dimensions. Results reveal that education amplifies knowledge and skills acquisition, empowering women to challenge norms, pursue economic opportunities, and enhance decision-making abilities. It also promotes health awareness, social empowerment, and political participation among women in the region. In conclusion, the study highlights education as a transformative force in District Dir Lower, fostering women's empowerment across multiple facets of life. It underscores the importance of investing in educational initiatives tailored to the specific needs of women to achieve gender equality, social justice, and sustainable development in the community.
